With a background working in content marketing as well as illustrating books for authors, including Michael Morpurgo and Melanie Brown Waxman, my own children’s books include How You Know You’re a Zebra and Never Trust a Seagull.
Having trained at Chelsea College of Art and Design, I have enjoyed a number of illustration projects including A Little Aloud with The Reader Organisation who aim to improve literacy across the country.
This was done in collaboration with Michael Morpurgo, best known for his novel, War Horse. Other partnerships include a children’s book called The Little Carrot with macrobiotics expert Melanie Brown Waxman, aiming to inspire children about organic foods.
In addition, I work on a number of personalised projects ranging from hand painted tiles and other interiors to bespoke wedding invitations.
I have written and published a selection of children’s books, which are currently available as e-books on Amazon. These include How You Know You’re a Zebra, a picture book for children about how the zebra discovers who he is, and Never Trust a Seagull – inspired by the seaside of Salcombe, close to where I live in Devon.
Books for businesses
In 2018 I launched my first children’s book partnership with the Salcombe-based restaurant, The Winking Prawn. The book, Why The Prawn’s Pink, is sold through the beachside restaurant and aims to encapsulate the warm and welcoming atmosphere that its owners have honed over more than 20 years.
I am currently working on further collaborations with other businesses in addition to continuing to produce my own stories, which are available on Amazon.
